Where passcodes fit
Use a passcode when a service wants a code-style credential but allows more flexibility than a numeric PIN. Examples include temporary access codes, shared device records, document locks or app-specific codes.
Check expiration and format
Some passcodes expire, can be used only once or must match a fixed format. The generator creates a random value, but it cannot know whether a provider expects hyphens, groups, uppercase-only text or a server-issued code.
Practical example
For a temporary shared vault code, generate a fresh passcode, send it through a separate secure channel, set an expiration in the service if available, and replace it after the task is finished.

GivePass Me runs generation and analysis in your browser. Credentials are not stored in a database or included in URLs. If breach checking is enabled, only a short hash prefix is sent to the breach-check service.
